Pet Omamori from Todaiji Temple in Nara

Greetings from Kyoto

An omamori is a kind of amulet or talisman that can be purchased at shines and temples in Japan. As Japanese society changes, pets become more a part of society and the family. Today, a friend went to Nara and at Todaiji Temple, she got me a pet omamori. This omamori is the protect your pets health and also protect from traffic accidents. One part goes on the pet’s collar and the other on the owner’s bag, mobile phone, key chain, etc. It even has some little bells on them.

I posted about omamori here, last summer.
