I am the creator of the KyotoFoodie and OpenKyoto websites. I am from the US and came to Japan some years ago to study architecture and urban design in graduate school. While in grad school I got very interested in brands and product development. Currently I work as an independent consultant on brand and product development projects. I am mainly working with traditional Kyoto companies and artisans to develop new products for overseas markets. I really enjoy this work!
